Redbox has announced that they will be expanding their rentals into the world of video games beginning on June 17.
The video game rentals will go for $2 a day, alongside their current $1 a day DVD rentals and $1.50 Blu-ray daily rentals. They will be offering games across the three major consoles: Nintendo Wii, Microsoft Xbox 360, and Sony PlayStation 3.

Comic book superhero Superman has renounced his US citizenship. In “Action Comics #900,” which was released Wednesday, the action character renounces his alliance with the United States after a trip to Iran leads President Ahmadinejad to believe that America is going to war with Tehran.
Now, Superman won’t be claiming any nationality as his own. In a key panel of #900, Superman states his reason for leaving, saying, “I’m tired of having my actions construed as an instrument of U.S. policy.” Interesting words from a superhero often considered to be “all-American.”

This week, Profiles in History announced that it will auction “some of the most coveted items in Walt Disney History” at Beverly Hill’s Saban Theater May 14 and 15. Among the items is a letter Disney wrote to Mickey Mouse co-creator Ub Iwerks, a letter many Disney enthusiasts believe was integral in the creation of the beloved cartoon mouse.
Written in 1924 and slated for auction May 14, the handwritten letter implores Iwerks, one of Disney’s oldest friends, to join Walt Disney in his Hollywood studio. Iwerks ultimately agreed and the pair soon developed the idea for Mickey Mouse. Many believe that if Disney had never written the letter, Mickey Mouse would never have been created. The auction also includes a mutual release agreement dated in 1930 in which Ub signs his "right, title or interest" back to Disney for $2,920.

The quest to confirm the identity of the woman who posed for the Mona Lisa continues. This time a group of scientists are hunting for the skull of Lisa Gherardini, the woman long thought to be the person behind the painting.
