The bat above isn't an albino; it's a Honduran white bat. They are the only member of their genus, Ectophylla, and are found throughout Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. The white fur may seem a bit impractical for camouflage, but, it's ideal for how these bats roost. Each morning, they create a tent under a green leaf. If pumpkin beers aren’t your thing, perhaps a monster brew will do the trick. Newcastle Brown Ale recently announced the first nationwide release of its limited edition beer, Newcastle Werewolf.

“Unlike the mythical wolf-like creature said to roam the bleak moorland surrounding Newcastle, England, this Werewolf is real,” Charles van Es, brand director, Newcastle Brown Ale, said in a statement. “Everyone loves a good urban legend, so we’re hoping to take advantage of the werewolf story to sell more beer this fall.”
