The bat above isn't an albino; it's a Honduran white bat. They are the only member of their genus, Ectophylla, and are found throughout Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. The white fur may seem a bit impractical for camouflage, but, it's ideal for how these bats roost. Each morning, they create a tent under a green leaf. The white fur looks green when light comes through the leaf during the day. About half a dozen white bats will roost together, like this:
