The Fairmont Grand Hotel in Kyiv, Ukraine was the venue Debbie Wingham chose to debut her black diamond encrusted dress, valued at $5.7 million and weighing 29lbs. (Full photo below!)

According to the young fashion designer from the United Kingdom, she chose Kyiv because she considered it to be a potential market for other stunning outfits from her latest collection. "The creation of this dress is not some commercial project. This is simply a stepping stone to my new collection of jeans, which will be also decorated with diamonds," she said.

See-through clothing is probably something you'd reserve for the bedroom, but Dutch designer Daan Roosegaarde says his fashions are "daringly perfect to wear on the red carpet." 

"INTIMACY is a fashion project exploring the relation between intimacy and technology," says Studio Roosegaarde. "Its high-tech garments entitled 'Intimacy White' and 'Intimacy Black' are made out of opaque smart e-foils that become increasingly transparent based on close and personal encounters with people."
