The Fairmont Grand Hotel in Kyiv, Ukraine was the venue Debbie Wingham chose to debut her black diamond encrusted dress, valued at $5.7 million and weighing 29lbs. (Full photo below!)

According to the young fashion designer from the United Kingdom, she chose Kyiv because she considered it to be a potential market for other stunning outfits from her latest collection. "The creation of this dress is not some commercial project. This is simply a stepping stone to my new collection of jeans, which will be also decorated with diamonds," she said.

body painting world record

The Cork Body Painting Group set a world record this weekend: most painted bodies in a single place. But, it almost didn’t happen after the group caused a run on men’s thongs in the Irish city. A post on the event’s Facebook page said: “Men’s thongs have sold out in Cork. Some people are saying they are wearing jockstraps. You could also wear a woman’s thong (just make sure it’ll hold you in) or you could wear Y-fronts.”

In the end, participants found a male thong stash at the adult shop Utopia. The record was firmly secured with 316 people stripping down and getting painted up.

Want to establish your own Guinness World Record, but unable to assemble 317 of your closest friends to beat Cork's record? Here are some other odd world records to aim for:

Video streaming by Ustream

24 hours and 18 minutes – that’s how long it took an Austin guitarist to set a new world record for the longest guitar solo.

David DiDonato, a member of an Austin metal band known as Modok, began his record-breaking quest on 7 p.m. Sunday night (May 13). DiDonato played for a total of 24 hours and 55 minutes, with five-minute breaks thrown in every hour. He recorded much of his performance at Austin’s Red 7 on UStream.tv. Check out a few riffs above.

How long do you think it will be until some other guitarist sets a new solo record? I call upon the amazing talent of Rise of Saturn to give it a shot.

New York City is pretty famous for fashion so it's no surprise that the Big Apple hosted a fashion show last July that broke the Guinness World Record for Most People Modelling on a Catwalk.

However, the T-ARTS fashion show in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan just beat that record by getting 31 more people to strut their stuff, with a total of 1,274 participants!

There’s no denying it. People love puppies and people love miniature anything. We bring you the best of both worlds today. Meet Beyonce, the tiniest puppy in the world weighing in at only four ounces! There’s a reason for the name and no, it is not to offend the pop star. This little cutie has cheated death several times in her short life, so naming her after the woman behind the song, “I’m a Survivor,” seemed fitting!
