Eric Scott Electrical and Air Conditioning Services in Moree, New South Wales is having a hard time hiring skilled workers.

"Most of them are chasing money in the mines but nowadays it’s also because of the big push from the educational system for further education instead of apprenticeships," says operations manager Dion Biggs.

So the Australian company decided to throw in a slightly unconventional benefit to attract new staff -- free beer for a year!

Mr. Biggs says he got the idea from a television show so placed ads in a few local newspapers with hopes of at least two locals applying for jobs.

"If our response isn’t good enough in the two local papers we are going to try for Brisbane and Sydney papers because they have quite a lot of electricians working for big companies up there," he says. "Maybe we’ll get a good, old fashioned, hard working, beer drinking Aussie to come to Moree."

Which beer will be chosen for the free case per week prize? Most likely Victoria Bitter since it's Australia's most popular beer.
