There's nothing better than a glass of thick, frosty Guinness on St. Patrick's Day. Since so many people will be imbibing the brew on this holiday, the company is asking everyone to visit the Guinness website, make an online pledge to join the World's Biggest St. Patrick's Day Party and set a new Guinness World Record!

You only need to enter your first name and your zip code to become a part of the world record attempt. By doing so, you pledge to raise a pint of Guinness in celebration of "The Friendliest Day of the Year."

As of today, three days before St. Patrick's Day, over 60,000 people have joined. Once you make your pledge, you can print a Guinness World Records Certificate of Participation!

This world record attempt is actually the combination of two titles -- the Most Pledges Received for a Campaign and the Largest St. Patrick's Day Celebration. 

If the record is achieved, the official ceremony will be held in Dublin, Ireland in September. Therefore, Guinness is also giving away a trip to Dublin in a special sweepstakes!

Also available on the website is a handy dandy Guinness pub finder and tons of informative St. Patrick's Day facts, such as: an estimated 13 million pints of Guinness are consumed on March 17th, which is enough to fill 60% of the Empire State Building!
