Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi’s burial has been pushed back after questions were raised over how the man died after being captured and only wounded. He was dragged out of the drainage pipe he was hiding in begging for his life, and then the fighters begain shoving and pulling at the blood-soaked dictator.

At one point the fighters even pushed his weakened body onto the hood of a truck, and drove a little ways parading in victory. There was celebratory gunfire, and then gun was pointed at Gadhafi’s head. Just before he lost consciousness, the dictator said, “Do you know right from wrong?”  The fighter told the dictator to "shut up," and continued.

Video shows Gadhafi’s dead body lying on pavement, stripped to the waist in a pool of his own blood. It was reported that his head appeared to have a bullet hole in the side of it, and the rest of his body was covered in bruises and scratches.

"It is unclear how he died. There is a need for an investigation," United Nations human rights spokesman Rupert Colville told reporters in Geneva. "It is a fundamental principle of international law that people accused of serious crimes should, if possible, be tried. Summary executions are strictly illegal. It is different if someone is killed in combat."

The International Criminal Court will be examining his death. Until then, the burial will have to wait. Mohamed Sayeh, a senior member of the governing National Transitional Council, said the dictator will be buried with respect according to Islam tradition. It will be a private funeral.

The interim leader Mustafa Abdul-Jalil is expected to announce liberation in Benghazi on Saturday. Benghazi is the city where the revolution against Gadhafi began earlier this year.
