The 2012 edition of the Guinness World Records book has been released today all over the globe. It contains over 4,000 records of which over half are either new categories or new record holders. It also features over 900 brand new photos and hundreds of facts about what the average person eats, drinks, and does in a lifetime.

Plus, Augmented Reality content was included in this year's edition for the first time. (Check out the video below!)

Since 2012 is the year of the London Olympics, there are special pages devoted to that event, as well as Olympic legends and the Paralympics. An apocalyptic theme also appears since that year is believed by some to be the end of days. Other special pages include Mount Everest, Computing Firsts, and the International Space Station.

However, it's the brand new bizarre records that readers want to see the most, such as British eccentric Rob Hull who has the Largest Collection of Daleks, Uchida Geinousha's 'Super Wan Wan Circus' for the Most Dogs Skipping on a Rope, and Reverend Darryl Best who owns the Fastest Wedding Chapel!

Check out these awesome videos!
