As we mentioned on our sister site, StarCam, Saturday Night Live is returning soon for its 38th season. This is a show that has been around long enough that, not only can it buy itself a drink; it if got knocked up as a teenager, it could legally go drinking with its own bastard offspring.

So, play along at home with our Saturday Night Live drinking game. C’mon, it’s Saturday night!

Break out your beverage of choice, and be watching for the following cues to drink:

When someone breaks character – have a sip

If it’s the host – two sips

When a heavily costumed & made up new character comes on, try to figure out who it is. Raise your hand when you know. The last person with their hand down has to drink.

When a musical guest is obviously lip-syncing – have a shot to ease the pain.

If the boom is visible in the shot – have a sip

When there’s a cameo from a former cast member – chug!

And if a cast member swears – everyone must chug and do a dance around the room.
