Even though summer does not officially end until September 21st, for most, Labor Day is the symbolic end of the season. Send summer off right by hosting the perfect party, complete with Labor Day Drinking Games.
The Beverage: beer, of course, the beverage of laborers everywhere.
The Food: Make sure the grill is going with plenty of burgers and dogs available to soak up that beer.
The Games:
Red Light/Green Light for Adults: The rules are a little different from the ones you knew as a kid. When the traffic cop says green light, you need to start drinking. Stop on a red light. First one to finish his or her beer wins.
Beer Pong: if you don’t have a ping pong table handy, you can improvise by setting up the game on a cemented walk.
Momentum: Sit or stand in a circle. The first person starts by saying the first thing that comes to their mind. The next person in the circle must say the first related thing they can think of. For instance, if the first person says “cake,” the second might say “pie” or “birthday.” The next person goes, and so on. You pause, you drink.
I’m Going on a Picnic: The same memory game from when you were kids, made more challenging by our good friend alcohol. The first person starts by saying one item they’d bring on a picnic (“I’m going on a picnic, and I’m bringing apples”) and each successive person must recite all the prior items and add theirs to the end of the list. Each person should have a sip every time an item is added. When you mess up, you must chug your drink.
