If thoughts of zombies keep you awake at night, perhaps Hornady’s Z-max zombie bullets will soothe your fears of the undead. The bullets from Nebraska’s Hornady Manufacturing Company are specially designed to take out creepy flesh eaters and prevent pesky zombies from munching on tasty brains once and for all.


The bullets’ “ultra-flat trajectories send mangy menaces to the varmint graveyard,” reads a product description on Hornady.com. “The Z-Max bullet is built to make dead permanent!”

While the ammunition is almost certainly a novelty product, a spokesman for Hornady said Z-Max bullets are the company’s most successful product. Considering the success of shows like The Walking Dead and the recent cannibal story out of Miami, it’s not surprising that people want specially-designed zombie bullets. Just in case.
