Tired of shoveling snow, braving blizzards, and trekking over treacherous ice? Here are 7 hot drink recipes (with booze!) to help you forget the frigid temps.
2 oz. Partida Anejo Tequila
6 oz. Apple Cider
Add tequila and hot apple cider to small, warm wine glass. Float heavy cream. Grate fresh nutmeg over cream.
Hot Spiced Wine
1 Bottle of Red Wine (Merlot, Pinto Noir, or Burgundy)
3 Tbsp. Honey
2 Cinnamon Sticks
2 Tbsp. Cardamom Seeds
1 Tbsp. Black Peppercorns
1 Sliced Orange
1 Sliced Lemon
1/2 Cup Sugar
Garnish with Cinnamon Stick
Combine all of the ingredients in a large saucepan, simmer for 13-15 minutes, and serve in coffee mugs.
Start with a coffee mug and add 3/4 oz. of Coffee Liqueur, 3/4 oz. of Hazelnut Liqueur and 3/4 oz. of Irish Cream. Fill the rest of your mug with hot, black Coffee. Finish by topping with Whipped Cream and serve.
1 1/2 oz. Whiskey
1 oz. Honey
1/3 oz. Lemon Juice
3 oz. Water (Hot)
If you have a microwave, the easiest way to make this drink is to warm the honey and lemon juice for about half a minute and then to add hot water and the whiskey. Otherwise, we recommend that you stir the honey and lemon juice into extremely warm water, allow it to cool slightly, and add the whiskey.
1.25 oz. Captain Morgan Original Spiced (25 oz. per bottle)
6 oz. hot apple cider
1 tbsp. cinnamon sugar
1 slice(s) orange
Rub rim of a hurricane glass with half an orange and dip into cinnamon sugar to coat.
Add Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum and hot apple cider.
Mexican Hot Chocolate
1 oz. Stirrings Espresso Coffee Liqueur
0.5 oz. Don Julio
6 oz. Hot Cocoa
6 Whipped Cream
1 pinch(es) Cinnamon
Combine the Stirrings Espresso Coffee Liqueur and the Jose Cuervo Especial Tequila in a hot beverage glass.
Pour hot cocoa over the top.
Stir to combine.
Add whipped cream topping (optional).
Garnish with ground cinnamon or ground chile and a cinnamon stick (optional).
Hot Apple Cider Streudel
1 oz. Vodka
4 to 5 oz. Apple Cider
Caramel Apple Dipping Sauce
Fill a shaker with ice. Add vodka and apple cider. Add one dash of ground cinnamon.
Strain into a microwave-safe container. Microwave until hot, but not boiling (about 30 seconds).
Rim a coffee mug or other hot beverage glass with powdered sugar. Transfer warm beverage to rimmed glass.
Garnish with a second dash of cinnamon and an apple slice that has been coated with caramel apple dipping sauce.
